FANTASTIC FANTASY BOOKS TO READ!

Fantasy genre is- let’s be honest here- the coolest of all the others. In my opinion at least. Admit it; there is something alluring about reading how different worlds function. Our world is big and has even bigger burdens and we often need a break from it. And that is when you know that you have to dive into a book. Or even better, a fantasy book! But if you are new to this genre or are simply looking for more books, I got it covered! Here’s a list of my five favourite fantasy books that I simply adore:

1) The Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin

If you haven’t heard of Game of Thrones, you are most probably living under a rock. This book has all the fantasy elements and keeps you gripping the edge. The vocabulary is immaculate, and the descriptions are to the point. If this isn’t a great read, I don’t know what is!

2) Assassin’s Apprentice by Robin Hobb

This is an absolute masterpiece. Royals, assassins, and magic; what more could a fantasy lover like me ask for?

3) The Last Unicorn by Peter S. Beagle

Well, well. What they say is true. Old is gold and this book is the entire dragon’s loot. Adventure and bravery weave into this poetical story. To put it in simple words, this book is close to many hearts.

4) The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis

A frozen, magical land beyond the wardrobe door. An evil Witch. Heroes embarking on adventures. This is one of those tales that is impossible to forget.

5) A Wizard of Earthsea by Ursula K. Le Guin

This tale is absolutely enchanting. It has a magic school. Like Hogwarts! It has a hero who is seduced by dark powers. And above all, it has wizards!

 Potterheads, this is for you!
